Cairn Terrier PuppiesCairn Terrier adults as well as puppies need a lot of physical as well as mental activities added to their daily routine as they are growing up and well into their adulthood. The cairn terrier is an intelligent and frisky pet, especially the cairn terrier puppies. Because the Cairn terrier puppies are so small and don't actually grow up to be very big, many people may not realize the amount of attention the Cairn terrier puppies as well as the adults can demand. Yet, as they grow into adults and out of their Cairn terrier puppies extra playfulness a short 20 minute walk everyday as well as some short mind encountering sessions which include, sit, stay, down, roll over... etc... will keep their minds and bodies happy for times when you may not be able to give them as much attention as they'd like. The cairn terrier puppies will grow up and live to about 14 years of age and average about 13/14 lbs and most range in height of about 9 to 10 inches. A Cairn Terrier puppy has got to be one of the most adorable little dogs on the planet. Oh, they are so fuzzy and cute and cuddly and wonderfully small! Cairn terrier puppies should be offered lots of toys and things to chew on. They love to play and a fine choice for a toy is the Kong toys. Many Cairn Terrier owners have found that putting peanut butter inside these toys with little dry food snacks stuck to the peanut butter works as a great way to expand their energy trying to get the tiny morsels out. If you can get one of these toys, your cairn terrier puppies will be having a wonderfully stimulating time digging and chewing at the toy trying to get those little bits of dry food morsels to come out of the Kong toy. All puppies need time to rest and they should have a special place free of loud noises and other types of stimulation that could distract them from needed rest. Puppies are growing rather rapidly so their bodies really do need a lot of rest. For training I highly recommend: Secrets of a Professional Dog Trainer
